A Faith Credited as Righteousness

God made big promises to Abram. God promises to Abram that he would have a land to dwell, a son and a heritage, and that through him, the world would be blessed. We have seen Abram walk in faith, falter in faith, and return to a life of faith as he rescued Lot and resisted the temptations of Sodom. Today, we step out of the narrative and see God dealing with Abram directly as Abram struggles without an heir and without land. What about the promises of God? How do we walk in faith while His words seem distant and prayers seem to go unanswered? What do we do with our disappointments and discouragement in God? God will assure Abram's doubting faith and give him a sign confirming His promises.
