The Goodness of God

In the past election years, I have addressed how the Bible speaks to God and government. I want to do something different for this election year. Instead of speaking about the human actors on our world stage, I want to speak about the creator of the world. I want to gain a right view of God as he has revealed himself to us. It has been said that we cannot understand life truly unless we understand God's character. So, over the next three weeks, I want to look at a few attributes of God: his goodness, sovereignty and wisdom. Each week, we can ask, what is God like? This week, the answer is that God is good. While most Christians do not doubt his power or his authority, we often, particularly in difficult times, doubt his goodness. Is God good? Is he good all the time?
