The Faithfulness of God

We will continue our series on the attributes of God by studying the faithfulness of God. God demonstrates His faithfulness by fulfilling His word and promises, for it is impossible for God to lie (Hebrews 6:18). In Exodus 17, we will see that God’s covenant faithfulness is challenged by His people who are suffering with extreme thirst. God in His mercy does not eradicate the people for questioning His faithfulness, but rather He goes on trial before the people to display His covenant faithfulness. By studying the Faithfulness of God, our prayer is that we would be bolstered in our faith to see that God will not fail in keeping His promises to us even as we walk through various trials and afflictions.
