Standing Firm in Perilous Times

After Paul has opened their eyes in greater measure to the coming of Jesus and the trouble preceding it, he turns to how we live in light of this coming day. How do we live in trying times?  Paul was preparing them for life as if there would be time before the return of Jesus.  His instructions are clear, forgo fascination with the details of the end times but forge ahead in life prepared to stand firm to the gospel seeking God for comfort and grace as we rejoice in God's salvation.
