Our Hope in Life & Death

This Sunday, we will take a short break from our Revelation series to hear an exposition of Psalm 116. The psalmist is palpably moved by the Lord's mercies toward him, in that the Lord rescued his soul from death. He recounts the horrifying anguish he experienced and how he called on the name of the Lord for deliverance. The Lord was not deaf to his cries. He saved him! And now the psalmist is clearly a changed man. He loves the Lord with all his heart and, out of sheer gratitude, will live a life of dependence on Him, wholly devoting both his private and public life to the worship of God.
