No Other Gospel

As you read the passage, you might notice that unlike the other letters of Paul, he does not pray for them, give thanks, or provide any encouragement, nor even address the leaders with any commendations. Paul begins with a statement of his amazement over their turning away from the hope of the true gospel.  He is shocked that after being called by God in the grace of Christ, they are turning to a different gospel distorted by requirements and additions that make the true gospel no gospel at all.
