Men and Women in the Church

Paul is writing to Timothy to give instruction on how we ought to behave in the household of God while in a broken world. Last week, Paul instructed Timothy on the role of prayer in corporate worship. This week, Paul gives more instruction for corporate worship, specifically, how men and women participate for worship. It seems that false teachers had sown seeds of division and offered freedoms that were causing dissension in the church. In some of the most challenging verses in this book, even the New Testament, we see how men and women worship God in the gathered community.
