Honoring Leaders
Series: Rethinking the Church
It is hard not to see Paul's concern for the health of the church. He is deeply concerned how the church relates to one another. Last week we looked at how we relate to one another showing honor despite our differences in stages of life. We saw how we are to care for one another, honoring those in the later years facing unique challenges. In our passage, Paul continues to give instruction for how the members of the church relates the leaders of the church by again giving honor, just as our final part is slaves giving honor to masters. Do you see how all these relationships are couched in honor? In a world of antagonism and anger, the church in all her relationships honor one another revealing the uniqueness of the family or household of God.
