God's Mysterious Ways
Series: Genesis: The Beginning of a People
This week we will pick up where we left off last spring as we look to close our four part series in the book of Genesis. Our passages this week of Genesis 36 and 37 will serve us in a number of ways as we look to see the providence of God on display in the life of Joseph. In Genesis 36 we will hear of Esau’s descendants, highlight the chiefs and kings of Edom, and see how Esau and Jacob were providentially not meant to dwell with one another in the land of Canaan. Genesis 37 is where we will spend the majority of our time this Sunday, as we will see the sovereign grace of God on display in Jacob’s youngest son, Joseph. We will see that even though Joseph's circumstances are not ideal, as he is hated and ultimately betrayed by his own brothers, the faithfulness of God is on display in His mysterious providence in Joseph’s life. We look forward to seeing you this Sunday!
