God's Grace of the Guilty

This Sunday we return to Genesis, chapters 42-43. The prophesied famine has come to Canaan – and Jacob and his family are feeling the effects. God’s sovereign plan unfolds and Joseph’s dreams are fulfilled as the brothers travel to Egypt for grain and bow before the governor of the land, Joseph himself. Through testing, their sin is exposed yet Joseph graciously provides for them, a picture of the reconciliation soon to come in this family. God will preserve his people in the face of death and secure the seed through whom the Messiah will come.
