Christian Discipleship: Doing
Series: Discipleship: Do, Love, Think
We concluded Paul’s first letter to Timothy last week with the exhortation “to do good, to be rich in good works" (6:18). We pick up that theme this Sunday with a call to “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord” from I Corinthians 15. This labor for the sake of Christ is part of our calling as his disciples, fueled by the hope of his return and our own bodily resurrection. With three weeks until the start of our Advent series, we’ll be looking at Christian discipleship: our doing, our loving, and our thinking. These are all interconnected, of course. But it’s helpful to understand the whole by studying the parts.
