Biblical Leadership: Elder Candidate Introductions
Series: Sermons (Non-Series)
Good leadership is essential for the well being of the church. Paul in his first letter to Timothy, instructed his young protege on how the church is to function. In these instructions he speaks in good measure to the qualities of leadership that serve the church. This is of vital importance as the greatest threat to the church is not outside but inside: the false teachers and false doctrine that undermine her. In discerning good leadership, two things are necessary: proper ambition and godly qualities. Please be in prayer for the three candidates for elder: Steven Folz, David Sullivan and Phillip Taylor. They will be sharing their testimony of how God opened their eyes to the gospel. They will also speak about their philosophy of ministry, meaning, how they understand the role of the shepherd in the life of the church among the people of God.
