A Patient Redemption
Series: Judges: A Dawning Hope in Darkness
In Judges 6, we meet our newest judge, Gideon. In this passage, we see that once again the children of Israel have done what is evil in the sight of God. They have again forgotten God and returned to idolatry and are suffering under the consequences of their sins. In their suffering they cry out to God for help. The call of Gideon to save is a picture of God's patient redemption. He both convicts them through his word and then saves them through his judge.
