Omnipresence
April 19, 2026
As we continue our study of the attributes of God, this week we will examine God's omnipresence in Psalm 139. Omnipresence means God is "all-present", or present everywhere in His fullness. It does not mean God is partially present in all locations (i.e. "part" of God is in Raleigh, while another "part" of God is in Charlotte), but instead means wherever we are, we have the undivided attention and care of our Father. We see God's omnipresence displayed in Psalm 139 where David takes comfort in the fact that no matter where he goes, he is not out of the sight of the Lord. As we meditate on God's presence, we remember that before our Savior ascended he promised to be with us, even to the end of the age. And when the new age dawns, God's dwelling place will be with man and He will make His home with us.
