God's Wisdom and Words

All of us need to learn how to speak both as children and as Christians. I am not speaking about grammar, vocabulary, or syntax but in terms of wisdom in speech. To what degree are people helped or hurt by what you say? Consider the last week, how careful have you been in conversation? In the past month, how many times have you thought, "I wish I had not said that," or "I wish I could take that back?" As I mentioned last week, the proverbs are designed to show us how to live lives worthy of imitation. Proverbs speaks more about speech than any other topic. This Sunday we will consider how to grow in wisdom in our speech.
