14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

Summary: As the church sent out Paul and Barnabas in Acts 13, so our church will send out the Wilburns for missionary service, that those who have not heard the gospel may hear and that healthy churches would be started and strengthened. This Sunday we get the privilege of commissioning the Nate and Emma together. We will celebrate God's faithfulness throughout their time at CCC, pray, and then release them from their membership here to serve the Lord in Southern Europe. We are incredibly blessed and privileged to be sending our very own brother and sister to the nations.
Review & Apply
What is the church's role in supporting missionaries who are overseas? How can we practically fulfill that role?
How might you remember as a household to pray for the Wilburns while they are away from us?
If there are lost people around us, why would we send missionaries overseas? How can Romans 10:14-17 and Acts 1:8 help us answer this question?
Have you ever considered if God might be calling you to missionary service? If not, why? Would you pray and ask God if He might be sending you or your family?
