The Glory and Call of the Mission

As we look at a familiar story in John 4, we find Jesus demonstrating to us the work of the great commission. Prior to sending his disciples to Judea, Samaria, and to the ends of the earth to preach the gospel, empowered by the Spirit (Acts 1:8), Jesus himself went to Samaria to proclaim the gospel. In this beautiful story we will see Jesus intentionally engaging cross-culturally. Jesus is the glory of the Mission. We will also see how Jesus' deepest satisfaction was obeying the will of the Father, bringing redemption to the nations.
