Women of Christ Covenant Church
"Clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God." (1 Peter 3:4)
Women's Bible Study
Women's Bible Study is designed to help women grow in their walk with God. We believe our relationship with Christ begins with our personal study of the Bible and is enhanced and strengthened as we meet corporately to share what we have learned. We welcome women from all stages of life as we learn and grow together.
A typical study has daily homework that we will discuss when we meet weekly. In class we often have a short teaching and spend the bulk of the time in small group discussion and prayer. In the past we have done in-depth studies of books of the Bible as well as topical studies focusing on areas like prayer, spiritual disciplines, or women in the Bible.
Classes are generally a semester in length. If you would like more information regarding Bible study please contact Florence Rabon at 919-844-5426 or Vaneetha Demski at 919-850-2181.
This class runs for six weeks each fall and is a very intentional instructional time with older women in the church teaching a group of younger women in the spirit of Titus 2:3-5. The class includes a cooking demonstration, a meal and fellowship time as well as a teaching on topics such as loving your husband and loving your children.
Women's Legacy Ministry
“One generation shall praise Your works to another and shall declare Your mighty acts.” – Psalm 145:4
The Women's Legacy Ministry is for redeemed women of Christ and His Gospel to engage, equip, encourage and edify others as a legacy to His glory. There are two areas where the Legacy ministry focuses it's discipleship 1) Homemaking Groups and 2) Book Groups.
Homemaking groups consist of one or two older women meeting monthly in their home with four to six women encouraging and equipping them to live for God’s glory, modeling biblical womanhood, and building relationships between women of different generations through passing on homemaking skills. Book groups are very similar in their purposes except they are concentrated on an elder approved book study. Participants are asked to commit to meeting once a month for a year from February through December. Questions can be directed to Debby Clayton (919-609-6982) or Kerri Forney (919-496-4921).
The women's ministry hosts a weekend, overnight retreat each spring during which women have the opporutnity to hear solid Biblical teaching as well as the leisure to grow deeper in their relationships with each other.
